Happy Announcement and Brag Monday

Paper Doll Tag

Close Up

Hi Everyone~

I want to share this brand-new tag with you that I created for Brag Monday. This piece is called "Paper Doll" and the image, of course, is from Karen at the Graphics Fairy! Hugs to Karen!

This has certainly become a week of "Announcements" with the news of my designing for Shabby Cottage Studio, but also, I have just opened a brand-new Etsy shop. (The link to my shop is on the left side bar.)

If you would like to learn how to make curly seam binding, just move down to the next post and there is a link to my tutorial for it.
Oops! I forgot to tell you--My Creative Spirit Challenge will be this Friday!

I've got a question for you...As all this Etsy stuff is new to me, could you tell me which picture (that is in this post) that you would post to show it in Esy? I may use both, but I need your opinion!!!

Have a great week!!!
Love,
Cindy

That is a beautiful tag...as are all of your tags!!

You will love being a part of Etsy. My husband and son have had a woodworking store there for, I think, almost 3 years now. They love it...and Etys's fees are much less than Ebay.

I'm sure you will do great there! I will pop by for a visit.

Love,
Patti

Cindy, congratulations on opening your Etsy store! I'm still dreaming of that. I don't know which of the photos you should have there - the top one has a nice atmosphere, the lower one is better for seeing the tag, so probably that one (or use both, as you already said...). Good luck!

PetraB said...

The tag is adorable but as Carola already hinted it is difficult to decide which photo to use. The first one is very appealing in its environment but with the second you see more details - maybe you could combine them? (lol)
All the best and good luck for your shop, I am sure you will do well!

Cindy, the tags are exquisite! So lovely and fun. I loved your tutorial regarding the wrinkled tape. In fact, I have it featured on my blog as a Boardwalk Bookmark (which means you can grab a button, if you wish). I have it linked to the Shabby Cottage Studio, which is where I saw the tutorial, but I did notice that their link does not go through to your blog anywhere -- I just wanted you to know. If you would like me to move the link to the same tutorial on your blog, please let me know.

Congratulations on a wonderful tutorial and projects. I love this type of crinkled ribbon!

Okay, I'm going to try this again. Geez, blogger has been acting up all day today.

I think these are so cute and they remind me of how fond I was of paper dolls growing up. I'd play with them for hours.

I like the picture of the second one with the music sheet. Will come and visit your Etsy shop soon.

Okay, I had to come back to say that at your Etsy shop I actually like the way the one with the clock looks better. For some reason it looks smaller here.

Oh, and I ran across these amazing torso tags yesterday. Oh my goodness, they are gorgeous and I so know you could probably make them with your eye closed. I'll send you a link or a picture. I hope I find them.

Hi Cindy,
Congrats on your Etsy shop, I am so excited for you! Your shop looks awesome, and I love your tag. I think close ups really draw people in (for the first photo), then you can show different views and angles for the other 4 photos. I loved your tutorial on crinkly seam binding. Thanks for sharing! I found some vintage seam binding at a couple of thrift stores I went in on our camping trip, so I can't wait to try it!

Congrats on several levels, Cindy! I love your gorgeous tag. Your work is always so beautiful and feminine. You will probably do well on Etsy although I have no clue how it works. Hope you are having a great week.
