Angelic Treasures

Here is a picture of my daughter Jenny as she posed for Fashion Week~(The vintage faux fur is a designer piece that my mom bought in Paris.)

And here is a picture of us that she just posted to Facebook. (We were at a restaurant last month for her birthday.)

Jenny is here living in New Orleans right now and teaching at the college--which is so exciting.

I have received so many emails about my Angel seminar that is posted up above~and I am truly thrilled that so many of you have found it to be so inspiring.

I hope that as the new year unfolds that each of you feels protection and love around you.

This holiday season, I received so many special blessings in my mailbox from my wonderful blogging friends. This beautiful tag is from Starr. It is filled with glittery goodness!!

And Valerie of Bastelmania sent me (among other treasures) this gorgeous embossed Christmas tag.
And Cindy of Art, Books, Tea sent me this precious collage with vintage buttons and lace to begin the New Year.

I have placed all of these in my entry where I can enjoy gazing at them!! Thank you all so much.
I am truly humbled by your kindness.

Today my daughter Jenny and I will be enjoying a mother/daughter day out together!!!

A Spoonful of Sugar

I would like to thank all of you who have written such deeply felt letters about my angel book~Yes, I truly have experienced miracles in my own life and so have many other people in this special "blogging family" of ours....and I am so happy to know that you have been touched by those stories.

I have just completed making this altered silver spoon for a dear friend of mine...I love vintage silver and when my husband was up north this year, I asked him to find some for me--he did!! But, the reason I wanted some was so that I could alter them...

After adhering a graphic to it, I sprinkled it with sugar~Not really. It's glitter!

And then, of course, seam binding and pink satin roses were added. I hope that it will warm my friend's heart.

Merry Christmas, Everyone! Oh, and my giveaway is still in full-swing until 11 p.m. Saturday night....I will announce the winner on Christmas Day! If you would like to enter, there is still time. Just click HERE.

I have just completed this collage~It is from the Christmas Angels collage sheet at Dezinaworld.

It was created on a sturdy board that is covered in very fine vintage paper from a French book.

It is embellished with glitter, seam binding, lace, and other goodies.

A Week of Blessings Begins!!!!

Hi Everyone~

Welcome to A Week of Blessings. First, I want to say thank you to those of you who bought my book, Angels at My Door--It is climbing up the ranks at Amazon and I was so happy to be able to talk about it on the radio over the weekend!!

Today, we have something super-fun to do...It is a Treasure Hunt. My friend Debbie at Debbie-doos has a fabulous blog party every Monday.

Debbie’s party is always for Newbies--those brand-new to blogging!!!

So why is this a Treasure Hunt? Because I think that each new person we meet through blogging is a treasure.

I would like to ask you if you would go to her blog party, browse through and just click on one of the icons of someone who has signed up for it, visit their blog and become a follower of theirs. Easy, peasy!

Getting new followers can sometimes be tough--so I thought it would be a real treat for new bloggers to have someone follow them and they can follow you back...It’s a way of “paying it forward” and spreading friendship through our blogs.

This post will stay up all day, so if you have time at some point in your day, it would be so fun if you would like to do it. To get to Debbie's awesome blog, please click HERE!!!

Oh, one more thing--If you'd like to see my brand-new "Inspiration" necklaces, just scoot to the post below!!!

Victorian Christmas Journal

Hi Everyone~Thank you for visiting during my Victorian Christmas Week~Here is a Victorian Christmas journal that I created~

I used all kinds of embellishments and images from Dezinaworld.

I lined the chipboard book with pages from a vintage dictionary....

Then, I added cheesecloth and lace....

This journal was created to store Christmas memories...perfect gift for families and so FUN to make. It was fashioned from a chipboard book and the pages were simply covered with various papers. It actually makes a beautiful display to set in an entry or living room standing up to see all the layers. The recipient can then add their own journaling inside and photos. It could become a treasured family heirloom.

So, if you'd like to make one, simply purchase a chipboard children's book at your local store and start covering the pages! I also punched a hole a the top in order to put seam binding through it for a special added touch.

THERE'S STILL TIME TO ENTER MY GIVEAWAY AT THE POST BELOW!

~~~~
Important Note:
As some of you know, I am in the midst of writing a book entitled "Angels at My Door." It is an ebook for Amazon.
Well, I had finished writing it and suddenly realized that many of you may have stories that you would like to include in it.
If you had an your own angel encounter or something quite extraordinary happen in your life--miracles, interventions and such, and you'd like to tell about it, I'd love to include your story.
All you would need to do is send me an email stating it briefly. Send it to: Cindylou_20@hotmail.com
Once I receive it, I will edit it and put it in quotes...I need your first and last name and location (either your state if in the U.S. or your country if outside the U.S.)
I think that so many of us have had miracles in our lives...and I think that when people read about them, they realize that they are not the only ones who have encountered such events.
So, if you have a story that you would like to tell, just write it briefly and dash it off to me. I will be doing this all in the next few days, so just let me know if you'd like to be included.
Also, if you send me a short story, just make sure that you check your mail often as I will be editing and sending it right back to you...If I can't reach people, their stories won't be able to go in...
If you are included, you would receive an "advance copy" via email when it is completed and approved by Amazon. I would send it in a Word doc. format directly to your email.
XO
Cindy
