2. Become a follower
3. Post my button on your sidebar

If you can't do all of those things, I understand--I just hope you will!!!

Some Digital Fun

In My Garden

Hi Everyone!

I have just created this digital piece. I have gotten so many emails asking about digital art that I thought I'd show how this piece actually started out...

See, I used this new digital collage sheet from Dezinaworld, cropped it, changed the color and then played with different backgrounds and embellishments to come up with the end result. These sheets are really fun and I enjoy using them in black and white, as well...But, this gives you a "sneak peek" at the behind-the-scenes work that goes into these pictures.

I have some winners to announce too! La of A Musing Potpourri won the ice cream tag I made over the weekend! And what's so surprising about that? I actually made it for her blog party, so now she has a souvenir of the fun event.

And Terry of Terry 2 Dogs won the pink glass bowl that was my weekend giveaway--Congratulations to Terry and La and thank you all for playing along!!

A Happy Day!

Hi Everyone--

Today is the Launch Party for Whimsical Musings Magazine,

an online magazine created to inspire you!

I hope you’ll click the button on my right side bar and join the fun!

I am having a Valentine’s Day blog candy giveaway! To enter, just make

sure you’re a follower and leave a message on here. If you would like 2

chances to win, just post the button on your sidebar and let me know that

you have put it on with a link back to here. The winner will be announced

on Valentine’s Day.

While I have just purchased brand-new items for the giveaway, I have

also created handmade flowers and tags of various shapes and sizes this

weekend. There are items from different companies, including Martha Stewart

and Fiskars. There are flocked stickers, alphabet letters, metallic butterflies--

and more! There’s plenty of fun things to make all kinds of crafty goodness

in no time at all!

If you are an artist, you will have lots of fun with these products. If you are new

to all this, it would be a great way to get started making cards and tags.

One more thing--I will be leaving this post up for a few days and

will check back often for messages--I just want to make sure that

everyone has a chance to see it and enter!

I am linking this to Rednesday so that all my friends from there will also have a chance to win!

Also, my friend Linda is having a giveaway--Her link is on my right side bar--don't miss it!!!

This giveaway is now closed--Feb. 13, 2011.)

A Special Birthday, Christmas Day Giveaway and Window Shopping!

Saturday is my daughter Jenny’s birthday!! Since she lives far away, I made her a cake from artificial roses and carnations so she could save it and always have a pretty cake on her birthday! I put it in a box with party favors to make a “Party in a Box!”

The recipe calls for:

Styrofoam block

Artificial flowers

Pink ribbons

Lots of love

Perfect for birthday wishes at a distance.

And since I am an artist and not a cook, it was
the best recipe I could create!

I am linking this up to Pink Saturday! Thank you
to Beverly for letting me join you and thanks to
all who are visiting! The Christmas "recipe" for
this calls for red and white flowers and ribbons.

I am having a Christmas Day Giveaway for this handcrafted “Vintage Roses” cottage style garland! Created on commercial paper, all of the images on it are from Shabby Cottage Studio. If you would like to make one, the images are for sale here.

It includes handmade flowers I created and has lots of shabby goodness. I used one Shabby Cottage Studio sheet that has roses--I made this whole garland using only one designer sheet for decorations!!! Try to head over there...Gail's images

are amazing!

But, how do you enter the drawing? I will have a blog post about it for the 5 days before Christmas and just add your name to that blog post to be in the drawing. I will announce the winner on Christmas! What a fun way to get your house ready for the new year, don’t you think?
I forgot to tell you...it's very large. The ribbon is 5'7" long!

I will send it to the winner in an envelope and all I ask is that if you are the winner that you get clothespins to attach each piece where you want it. Easy, peasy! Ribbon and tulle fabric will be sent with it for embellishments just as pictured here.

Now, onto the window shopping! Here are some new Tussie Mussies that I made. There is a great deal of detail, lace, cheese cloth, and hours in each one. They are now in my Etsy shop, so if you need one (did I say “need?” lol) you’re welcome to go take a look!
