I am a gallery artist and love teaching others about mixed media projects that they can make easily. While this next project is time-consuming, I think it is so special that it is worth the time spent.
I painted a baby shoe and then, sprinkled glitter over the entire surface. Burlap and lace were tucked inside and then a ribbon of curly seam binding and a mulberry paper rose gave it just the right amount of shabby goodness.
