True Love Ways

If you have read either of my books, you would remember that I said to always keep your blogs “happy places to visit.” Well, sometimes there are exceptions. This is one of them. I decided that in the midst of what is going on, I would tell you what’s happening “behind the scenes” right now.

My husband and I met 7 years ago. At the time we met, he was an amputee...He had a below-the-elbow amputation caused by a work accident many years ago. He is a power lineman and he had gotten electrocuted when he was in his early thirties.

At the time of his accident, it was not easy for him to adjust to his circumstances, but being the hard worker that he is, he never gave up. After a long time in intensive care, he returned to work and climbed power poles and did all of his work one-handed. He was determined.

A couple of weeks ago, he was out of state at work and got hurt on the job. As if things could not be any harder for him, he injured his other arm. We found out today that he has to have surgery, requiring him to lose all use of his other arm during the long recuperation period.

You all know me so well that it didn’t seem right to leave all of this out of my blog because I believe this will be a long road ahead. Your prayers are greatly appreciated. If you know any angels personally, please ask them to pay a visit to Louisiana.

In the next few weeks and months, if I don’t get to each and every one of your blogs personally, please understand that I will be greatly needed around here.

And after you read this, I hope that those of you who are in relationships will hug your loved one a little tighter. A hug is a gift--trust me. We never know what will happen in life.

I will still be working from home, so if you need blog buttons or headers, I will definitely be available to create them. Because I knew that this surgery might be possibility, in the last 2 weeks, I completed all of my projects for my design teams through Christmas. So, of course, these will be in my posts.

I love my new scrapbooking program, so since I will be home alot, I will still be making layouts and showing them to you. If you want a scrapbooking program for yourself, you can save $10 with my coupon code STMMMS19107. My Memories button is at the top of my right sidebar.

Love,

Cindy

I am so sorry to hear this!! I am amazed though that he was working and doing all that he did with only one arm! Truly remarkable and commendable!
Knowing very well what surgery on the other arm will entail, I will say that you will have your work cut out for you. Will the arm be immobilized after surgery or casted? Just curious.

My prayers are with you and your family.I pray that he will have a speedy recovery.

Many Hugs,

My dear Cindy, how terrible for him-(and you) I so hope the surgery will leave him well, and functionable again.

Sending you hugs and love- and hopes for quick recovery.

Hi Cindy, I am going to pray for your Ralph, I will pray that while he goes through his surgery that the use of his arm and hand will be spared, that he will recover with full use of it to do as he choses to do!

We won't claim bad news over here, we won't even claim the worst that could happen to him during surgery, the only thing we will claim is God is so much bigger then mans junk and that Ralph will recover walking into faith strong and able to regain use of his arm and hand.

A powerful prayer for your Ralph and you my friend. I so will miss our late email chats, and your beautiful visits to my place of inspiration, then for me to return to be inspired with all that you create soulfully over here.

Take care my dear friend, I will expect you to return to blogging in a short time proclaiming a miracle.

hugs and kisses to your strength!

I am praying for you...and if it's okay with you I will be doing a post on my blog with a link to yours- As a thought- why don't you create a Prayer for your hubby button that people can put on their blogs if they would like? Cindy, first time here, read part of your story over at Diana's (Nana Diana) I am so so sorry. I do hope your husband if doing well and that he is off to a speedy and fully successful recovery. I know this cannot be easy though. I don't know angels personally (if I did I would lock them up my house and throw away the key) but I will keep you both in my prayers....sending you a hug:)

Dear Cindy,
I just went over to Nana Diana's Blog, and read about this news. I will be saying a prayer and I am thinking about you and your husband right now and sending love your way. Take care, my friend.

I am sorry to hear of your husband's accident and subsequent surgery. It's hard to believe that people can have so many trials in life, but as many have said before, it only makes you stronger. I hope that you all come through this and know that you are surrounded by so many who wish you the best. Wishing you much comfort and healing! May angels from all over surround you as well.
