Girlie Girl Week Continues

For The Gingersnaps Creations Challenge

Hi Everyone:

This piece is dedicated to all the young women who go to work every day and have to leave small children in daycare--those that juggle the endless responsibilities of home and office. That is why the young baby (from Dezinaworld) is perched on the typewriter indicating that even when a young mother is at work, her heart is with her child.

I first created it in Photoshop.

A close-up of the completed clip-board.

Also, my friend Julie from A Vintage Chic is an awesome artist and she is on the design team of Crafty Secrets. She had a blog hop last week--and I won!

I received an email from the wonderful owner, Sandy of Crafty Secrets, who allowed me to choose some of her special graphics to craft with--how exciting!

Thank you Julie and Sandy!

What a sweet dedication! I remember the first day back at work after my daughter was born was soooo hard!!! Nothing seems as important anymore....all priorities shift!

How lovely. Yes, that's where mother's minds always are... not matter where they are. I just so dislike how the world has made this the norm - for mothers to leave their children and go out and work - rather than the exception. So sad... Children grow up all too soon... But this is a lovely tribute to that, Cindy.
Blessings!

I could not IMAGINE leaving my child in daycare while I ran off to work! I am so glad we planned ahead so I could stay home with the greatest treasure in my life!
I can work when she no longer needs me. Until then, I can do without certain "things".
Lovely creations!

Congratulations on your win! You will have so much fun picking some new graphics!!! I love your clip board art...anyone that has ever HAD to work because they could not afford to stay home will appreciate it. I was a stay at home Mom when my kids were little until my husband's brain tumor surgery forced me out the door to work...there are MANY Moms who do not have a choice and it is a deep sorrow for many of them and no amount of planning can account for unforeseen events...Hugs- Diana

Oh Cindy Sweetie...
Congratulations on your win. How exciting for you, as I know you love your graphics.

This creation is absolutely breathtaking. I love the little baby on the typewriter, and yes so many young women do have to work and take their young to childcare. It is hard to juggle both, been there, done that, but we do what we have to, and now days it takes 2 incomes truly to survive. That lilace ribbon just pops, and I love the use of the hydrangeas, and the little clothes-pinned, I love you. So precious sweetie.

Just give me 5 minutes in that brain of yours, where the creation side is. I would so love that.

Hope you are well. I think of you every day when I open my little white bible. Oh what joy it has brought to me. Many hugs and SO much love, Sherry

It's a reminder what women do for their families love how you combine the type writer and child. You so inspire me to continue to create. Bless you Cindy.

Beautiful, Cindy, and so very true...a mother's heart is always with her child. I was behind one of those typewriters (literally) for a couple of years after our son was born until we were expecting our daughter and God provided for me to come home. Our son was two years old then but those two years seemed like an eternity. I am thankful every single day.

Blessings!
