Welcome to Mardi Gras 2011!

Welcome to Mardi Gras 2011! If you thought that decorating

for Christmas was fun, you should see what it’s like here in

New Orleans for Mardi Gras!

Be transported on a horse-drawn carriage in Jackson Square...

Or take the cable car to join the fun!

Here’s a look inside a shop window in the French Quarter...

A close-up details all of the Mardi Gras goodness that abounds...

Even bicycles are decorated for the occasion!

Happy Mardi Gras Everyone!

Oh, and one more thing--if you love black and white, just scroll down to the next post to see what I've got posted for you!

Oh Cindy Sweetie...
How beautiful everything looks. I can so see myself taking a horse drawn carriage ride. Oh what fun that would be.

I have always wanted the little baby out of a king cake, and never gotten one. Waahhhhh. Have you? Love the mardi gras beads as well, but have never had any of those either. I bet it is a lot of fun.

Keep taking pics, then I can say I too have been to Mari Gras.

I am having a CSN giveaway, pop over and sign up.

Have a glorious week sweetie. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

I have photos of my parents in the parade on a float in clown costumes. My daddy was from NOLA. I really enjoyed this post. I spent a week there in the library searching out our genealogy and got to see the red cable cars. Maybe one day I will get to Mardi Gras.

Well Happy Mardi Gras my friend! I've had horse drawn carriage rides in New York City, NY and in Hot Springs, AR. Both rides were a lot of fun. Do you try to avoid all the crowds? I'm sure it's very busy there.

One of my very favorite places to visit, Cindy. I didn't know that is where you lived. We bought the most wonderful painting there that hangs over our fireplace, an angel that is done in a sort of broad impressionistic style.
Love the post and the music...so fun!
Hugs,
Suz
