A Little Vintage Charm

Jackson Square/New Orleans

Last week, I went to visit the St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans.

Jeanne d'Arc Necklace

While I was there, I bought a medallion of Jeanne d’Arc for my

special daughter-in-law, Nikki and created this necklace for her

with a key, a crown, and gear for her birthday.

"Charmed" Wall Hanging

Then, I created this wall hanging for her. It includes one of my

favorite images from Shabby Cottage Studio. I couldn’t wait to

make a collage using this vintage blue necklace. It is being entered

in the Spot Prize challenge at Dezinaworld where the theme is

“Charming.”

Sugar-Sweet Lollipops

Then, I made these for my grandchildren to accompany

the other gifts. Of course, the sugar is actually white glitter!

The heart images are from Shabby Cottage Studio too!

They're fun to make--Honestly, I don't know how the idea

popped into my head--but I think they'd also be cute to

stick inside a planter in the house.

While at the cathedral last week, I prayed for all of my family

and friends--and that includes all of you that I have

met while blogging.

Wishing you a beautiful weekend~A Happy Pink Saturday!

and a Spiritual Sunday!!!

I love the crown, key and medallion necklace that you made for your DIL, Nikki. What a treasure for her to keep for many years to come.

Now those delicious little sugar coated lolli's are just scrumptous looking. So pretty and I just know your grands are going to love them. That is a wonderful idea, and your wall plague is beautiful as well. What artistic talents you have sweet friend. I so enjoyed my visit today.

Hope you have a beautiful weekend. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

Cindy,

Love this post. What an awesome idea using the heart Valentine images on popsicle sticks. They would be perfect tucked into a cupcake, on a cake or in a floral arrangement. Brilliant. Love it. You go girl.

Happy Pink Saturday,

Oh Cindy, How cute! And you know me - my fave are the cute "lollipop" sticks for the grandkids. How fun! And more ideas popping in my brain, thanks to you, for fun winter activities for grandparents and grandchildren. I did buy the tags, but couldn't quite entice the grandboys from their fun Wii games for the grand kids (and not-so-seniors-granny nanny), so will try again this week. :) Have a happy Pink Saturday.

The cathedral is magnificent. Living in the UK, and not keen on travel, this is one way I can see the rest of the world. So, thank you!

You picked up some interesting bits and pieces and have made a beautiful gift. Yes, they would be excellent plant pot labels.

Good work!!!!!!!!

best wishes
