The Seamstress

While I was taking pictures, my little Stella wanted to help!

Louise of Tag Tuesday is offering a challenge called "Circles." Participants were asked to incorporate circles into their tag designs. I used buttons.

As many of you know, I design for Shabby Cottage Studio and I wanted to use one of their dress form images.

In days past, a seamstress truly was “The Queen of Sewing.” Imagine needing to have a dress made every time you could afford one...or worse yet, imagine having to make it yourself! No running to the mall, eating at the food court, and finding something in a jiffy. Wow--how did women do it in those days?

Anyway, this tag with its round buttons is my tribute to women.

I love the tag Cindy. A seamstress tag would be perfect for my little sister. She is the queen of sewing. Do you have something red to post? Stop by if you have time. Hugs, Linda

Stella is just beautiful! What a sweet helper she is! (I didn't know you had a kitty!). And your tag is gorgeous! I can't imagine having to sew all of my own clothes, I don't even like sewing!!!

Pretty kitty! I love the tag too. I am a button freak!! Give me a pile of old buttons and I'm in heaven. The blingier the better (I made up a word!) I see a key peeking out... I just bought a new key stamp this week. Great minds think alike!
