I guess there comes a time in every blogger's life
when they need a new profile pic...As for me--I'm
having trouble picking one...(although I posted one
temporarily.)
oh geez, he just started taking one right after the other--
click, click, click--hence, this pic! (I was trying
to pull my hair down to make it straighter...)
57 last week (oh my gosh!) I figured that as much
as I don't like having pictures taken, here's my
new theory--I'll hate it even more 10 years from
now! lol
So, my question to all of you is, which of the 2
(one at the top and one at the bottom) would
you use for the profile pic if you were me?
And also, could you tell me--am I the only
one who feels so self-conscious about all
this picture stuff? Because if some of you
feel the same way, I'll be feeling alot
better! lol
Some cool news...I love to dance
country, salsa, and swing, so Ralph
and I have been dancing for the past
few nights--too fun. I told him that
all we need in our family room now
is a jukebox! Wouldn't that be
awesome?

Oh Cindy... you are just so right! But... I don't think you have a problem! Both pictures are really lovely!! I go with the 2nd one! Your fun-loving and fabulous spirit just kind of shines out!
Blessings for a wonderful year! 57...that's fabulous!!! Just let the numbers go up and up, I say!!

OH CINDY,
I LOVE...LOVE ALL YOUR BEAUTIFUL PICTURES...I LOVE THE MIDDLE ONE BUT I GUESS I WOULD CHOSE THE BOTTOM ONE...THEY ALL SHOW YOUR BEAUTY.
I AM SOOO GLAD YOU ARE DANCING.
RICHARD AND I HAD A CHANCE TO TAKE DANCE LESSONS 36 YEARS AGO AND WE DIDN'T....I SO VERY MUCH WISH WE HAD...I HAVE SOOO WANTED TO DANCE AND I LOVE WATCHING PEOPLE DANCE...AND IT IS GREAT FOR YOUR HEALTH.
HUGS
HAVE A SUGAR SWEET DAY
SIMPLY DEBBIE
Hi Cindy
I like all of your photographs. In all honesty I think I like the top one. It has a whimsical 'cheekiness' to it and so suits your blog title, but actually, I really like the bottom one too. Which ever one you choose you can't go wrong!
Sue xx
I like the last one best, Cindy. I know the second one isn't in the running, but I like it as the "threatening Cindy" because it looks like you are ready to backhand someone! : ) I hate having my picture taken, too. When I get my business pics done I usually go to a professional photographer because I am much happier with the outcome. Plus they do my hair and make-up {so it shows up!}. I'm very picky about pictures of myself and very rarely like them.
I like the middle one. I think you profile pic can be playful. Heck, mine has sunglasses! I did that as a bit of symbolism for me...I stalked so many blogs before I became a blogger myself! I was just thinking it is time for me to change and come out from behind the glasses.
p.s. One of my girlfriends, who follows you too, is giving away a sweet little tag today on my blog. Stop by if you can. Just a little something to wrap up the week.
Hating having my picture taken I can relate to your feelings. However, being so pretty you should not feel that way.
You want us to choose? Oh boy - gee, this is tough. It's Friday - my "no decisions day"....okay, if I had to pick just ONE - the last one. (o:
Hugs.
Hello dear Cindy
I would choose the bottom photo but they are all great. "You look fabulous Darling!"
Have a great weekend! I sure wish we were in New Orleans again this February I would love to meet you!
Hugs,
from your Canadian friend Wanda
Good morning, Cindy!
Oh, man! I really don't like to get my picture taken! I hate it less since I lost weight, but I still get really self-conscious about it! I guess it's just a woman thing!
My favorite is actually the second one, if you don't mind your hand there...otherwise, the 3rd one is my favorite.
And happy belated birthday, my friend! Hope you were spoiled rotten! Get the jukebox--that would be so much fun!
Hope your day is wonderful, my friend!
Julie
Dancing how fun! I like the bottom one best. I hope you are going to have a fun weekend. Hugs, Kim
Good Morning Cindy, Those pictures were taken after you were dancing? My hair would be soaked from perspiration and pasted to my head. You look lovely, I pick the last one. Keep dancing...Hugs
I like the first one. I don't like having my picture taken. I'm usually not satisfied with them, so when I have a decent one, I run with it for a lonnnnng time. My profile pic is from last summer. I'm dreading taking a new one. What a nice hubby to help!
Hi Cindy, these are lovely pics. I love them all, think i would choose the bottom one you look so relaxed on that one.
Great idea to do the dancing .... now i wonder if i can convince Sam lol
hugs June xxxx
Hi Cindy! Both photos look great...I think the one with your hand at your hair is more fun.
And, to answer your question...look at my profile and you'll see my pretty little Angelic Inspiration....Even tho I'm an enviable size 5 with curly aurburn hair, Jade eyes with exquisite fair complextion I can't bring myself to post a pic...I don't want to seem prideful.........LOL...that's my story and I'm stickin to it ;)
I have to say that I love the bottom picture of you, it shows your warmth & kindness more my lovely! You are not alone...I hate seeing pics of myself, esp since I grew another chin hahaha and always try to hide it if I can! HUGS XXX
Well to add to your confusion, I would go with #1, because I like that little turn of the head. It shows more spirit!!! All are great, so if you get a tie, do what I do and that would be a coin toss! You are still younger than me and I know how you feel. I am taking more pics now, because I know it ain't gonna get any prettier!!! Now why do you think I use my dogs as a profile picture? When I became a DT member for Scrolls Work and she wanted a picture for the website of DT members, I felt sick. Then I thought, maybe people want to know what Terry looks like! You look beautiful, so just do the coin toss!
Oh Cindy, I love your genuine heart. I like the last one for sure. It shows that genuine warm kind heart the most of the three to me. That dancing sounds like so much fun. Dance away!!
Hard to choose but for whatever reason #2. And as you can see ( or not see) I'm shy about putting my own pic up so for now, it's still me and Forrest Gump and a "box o chocolates"
Hey Cindy! I choose the bottom one, number 3!They're all just great though. I'm like you, I really hate having my picture taken and avoid it at all cost. You don't need to worry though. I'm 57 also.
Hugs XX
Barbara
Yes Cindy ,In ten years you will hate having your picture taken more. I'm 63 , and I absolutly hate it. The picture on my blog with the camera hiding half my face is my favorite.
I like the bottom one of you the best. But it dosn't matter , your sweet soul shines through in all of them .
Sharon
Hello Cindy,
I like the 3rd one but they are all great!!!
I also do not like to get my picture taken, even more so since I gained some weight. I better get at working at getting it off I am going on a cruise at the end of February :)
Suzann xoxoxo
I vote for #3. You look natural, happy and pretty! I hate getting my pic takent too. If I would loose some weight, I'd be less self conscience but still hate it.
xo
Roselle
Oh my gosh, did I miss your birthday?!! Well HAPPY BIRTHDAY you fabulous young thang! I'm with you, I'm not a fan of having my picture taken either. I would rather take them instead:)
But I love the first pic...slight tilt of the head and subtle michievious smile..altough 2 is fun and 3 is warm and cheery. I like them all Cindy! I would love to dance too..love the Argentine tango. So great that you and your hubby both enjoy dancing.
hugs..
Anna
You are a brave woman! I HATE having my photo taken and invested in Photoshop to help out with some of the trouble spots. Who was I fooling? I'm 61 and look it!
SOOOO, I'd say the bottom picture is my fav of the three...your smile is beautiful and your eyes say "welcome".
You go girl.
Line dancing? How fun! Get the juke box ~ life's too short not to!
Rock on,
Jan
They are all great ! But the last one I would pick. You have a wonderful smile ! You are brave , I am a big camera shy person !! You are blessed to have a wonderful husband to share your life with !
Eunice
I love the last picture of you.
I love the bottom one though they are all nice. Wait til you're 65 and try to chose a photo...lol...I think you look great. Keep on dancing.
Hi Cindy,
Great photos! I love the last one the best. I know just what you mean about being self conscious about having pictures taken. I've gained some weight over the past few years (ugh!!), so I really don't like most of my photos from the neck down! And often not from the neck up either!:0 So you are not alone!! Love your hair color by the way!
Hiya Cin! Lovin all the pics but the the last one the most! I hate taking pictures too! Neck up on a good hair day...sweet! Bottom...hmm that's what the xbox 360 kinect is for. We'll see if more shots will surface after a few months of cybercise! Love yah! You look great!
So...where's the profile pic of you dancing??
Dancin for Jesus...and why not?
Hugs!
no, I am 66 and the pictures of me get better, more real, I am relaxed!
Wrinkles are signs of laughing a lot!!!!! I laugh A LOT!!!!!!!!!!!
I treated my self to a professional portrait when I turned 50!
Best present I ever gave my self!!!
hugs!
Hi Cindy! Dancing sounds like fun! I like the bottom photo ~ a pretty, relaxed close-up! I hate having my photo taken, too!
I like the middle one with you adjusting your hair. THat is a nice expression on your face! But if you dont like that one - go with the bottom one. Your smile is great.
I'm voting for the bottom one too. I hate having my picture taken...too self conscious and DH says whenever a camera is turned on me I develop a real cheesy smile. My mom does the same thing so maybe it's genetic with us. LOL
xo
Hi Cindy, you could use either photo. They're both great...and so I can't choose just one!!! I'm really self-conscious about personal portraits, because I want to look my best...but also, I'm working on losing weight...so I don't like to show the chubby too much!! :) :) :) Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :) :) :)
p.s. you gotta tell us which photo you end up using :) :) :)
