New Design Team Piece

Hi Everyone~

I have just created this piece with images from Dezinaworld as a new graphic sheet entitled Fashionable Ladies is now available. Here is my repurposed tin in an organza bag ready for gift-giving.

I actually created this piece for my daughter. And it is entitled "I Carry Your Heart." I love the poem by e.e. cummings and that will be attached to it when she receives it. If you haven't heard the poem, I think you will be very touched by it so I am attaching it here.

Newest Work and a Giveaway!

Morning Song--Mixed Media (Graphics from Dezinaworld)

I design for Shabby Cottage Studio and Dezinaworld. I would like to share some new creations that I just completed.

This is a gallery piece that will be on display in late March.

Art gallery photos where there is a current exhibit that

includes my work.

Wander--Mixed Media on 8 X 10 canvas.

This is best displayed on a stand.

In celebration of the new gallery event, I decided to have a giveaway.

So, I created this piece entitled “Wander.” If you would like to win it, just let me know in your comment. (I certainly understand that it might not match the style or colors of each person's home.)

V is for Victorious

Hi Everyone--

My post for Alphabet Thursday is a serious one this week.

There is a blogger named Betty at Daydreamnworld.blogspot.com.

No, I don't know her, but I read about her yesterday on Jenny

Matlock's blog.

Betty's son, Reid is very ill and facing a serious surgery and

we bloggers are being asked to send cards to the hospital to

cheer him up...I read about Reid yesterday and mailed

a special tag I made for him today.

If you would like to mail Reid a card, it would be very appreciated.

Mixed Media Bottle

Sometimes an artist creates something that just speaks to their soul~This is how I feel about creating this particular piece...A Jeanne D'arc medal is the focal point of this piece.

As many of you know, I design for Shabby Cottage Studio, and

it was made using their amazing images.

Oh how I love French dress forms and I was able to

incorporate those into this design.

Tag Tuesday--"Surprises"

Hi Everyone~

As many of you know, I just started designing for Dezinaworld--very awesome working with the fabulous June and her amazing team of designers.

I created this "Wings" tag using graphics from Dezinaworld.

For Tag Tuesday, the wonderful Louise asked us to create something with a "surprise" in it...Of course, my surprise is wings coming out from the sides of the tag. (If you click on the picture, you will also see the metal tag that says "Destiny.")

This tag was made with the hope that all of us "find our wings!"

Miracle Box

The other day, I went to the front door and there was a package--a total surprise. My dear friend Donna from My Shabby Chateau sent me this beautiful wooden box...

I was so overwhelmed with gratitude. And then, I sat down to send her an email and that’s when it dawned on me that this is a “Miracle Box.” Life is filled with miracles and every time one happens, I will write it down and keep it inside the box.

So, you see, through the miracle of friendship, I received this box that will help me see clearly the miracles that happen every day...and guess what? They have already started happening!

As I pray for miracles in my own life and that of my family, I pray for miracles in yours.

On this beautiful Sunday, I hope that you will visit Donna and see her awesome blog...It is representative of her wonderful talent and beautiful spirit.

On this beautiful Sunday, I wish you all joy and peace and miracles.

Happy Announcement!

Hi Everyone-

As many of you know, I am the resident artist at Shabby Cottage Studio with the fabulous Gail! I enjoy it so much not only because her designs are amazing, but also because she is one of the sweetest people on earth!

Well, yesterday the awesome June of Dezinaworld asked if I would like to be on her Design Team and hmmm, I thought for about it for half a second, wrote back and said, "Yes, of course--I'd love to!"

So, I feel doubly blessed working with Gail and June--women I truly care about and think are sensational, wonderful and talented!

I hope you look forward to lots of fun designs because they are coming your way.

The other members of the Design Team are such beautiful women--and I couldn't be more happy to work with such a great team--They are June of Junibears Jottings, Chris of My Arty Attempts and Gayle Page-Roback of A Stamper's Touch.

I also have another big announcement to make, but that will have to wait until I receive permission, so please check back occasionally so you can do the happy dance with me!

Lavender Dreamer
