"Vintage-Style Christmas" Journal Giveaway!

Hi Everyone!

Years ago, I started a wonderful tradition at my house. Every Christmas I write in a Christmas journal and tell the events of the past year--trips we took, babies born, etc. It's easy to do. I keep the journal in a safe place and pull it out each year to write in it.

My friend June at Dezinaworld announced a new challenge...It is for people who papercraft. I decided to make this Vintage Christmas Journal--and I'm having a giveaway, so if you would like to win it, just leave your name and I will enter it in the drawing...I will pick
a name at random in a couple of days and announce a winner! (And yes, that's a jingle bell tied to the gingham ribbon!)

Also, if you would like to enter the challenge too, just click here.

If you came to this blog via I Owe it All to Him, please read the story in the next post...that's the one I wanted to share with you AND you're welcome to enter this giveaway too!

What a wonderful idea, Cindy! With a new generation begun in my own family, what a good way to start a new tradition ~ by recording the events of the year. I can imagine my granddaughter {and other grandchildren} reading through this journal to see what the old folks did back in 2010! : )

The journal is beautiful!!!

I sort of do a Christmas journal...in that I have been doing a 2 page Christmas letter for the past 16 years. My husband has a large extended family, most of which have never lived near us, so it was a way to keep connected with them. Several of his aunts used to tell me how much they looked forward to my letter each year.

Each letter records what our family has been up to that year...what the kids like best, etc. Then, I file the letter in a Christmas scrapbook, including our photos of Christmas, and the photos we have received in cards that year. So...I guess you could say my Christmas journal is a Christmas scrapbook.

Love you, sweet friend,
Patti

Hi Cindy. Hope I am not too late to enter. Gorgeous journal. I keep a Gratitude Journal, have done so since I heard Ophrah talk about it. It might be something as simple as how I enjoyed a bowl of my mother's homemade soup, or a good book or contact from a friend but I love to keep this journal. Whoever wins your journal is very lucky indeed. Have a lovely week. Wishes Lynne M

Oh I just found your blog and I am so glad I did. I love your creations. I am sure you have already given away this sweet journal, but if not please count me in. I love your idea of journaling about what has happened in the past year and how you write in it each December. I have kept a journal now for over 30 years but have not thought of this fabulous idea. I started a journal that I write letters in to each of my grandchildren. (ages 4 and 1) They live 9 hours away, so this is one of my ways of staying close and one day I will give it to them when they are older.

I must go and check out your etsy shop. Your journals are beautiful. I am also becoming a follower today.
