Tag Tuesday--2-Sided Tag

For Tag Tuesday, Louise asked us to create a tag that was 2-sided...
but not only that--the design had to go from one side to the reverse. I wanted to create a very glitzy, glimmering tag with lots of layers for display in the art gallery, so this was my opportunity. A gilded cage dripping with glitter seemed the right place to start.

Butterflies on the front of the tag wrap around to the back. Another butterfly extends as if in flight off the side of the tag, as well. The design on the back is very simple, created with a coordinating paper and the “wrap around” images simply create a finished look.

If you would like to try this method, why not join in the fun at Tag Tuesday?

And I've got a question for you. Can anyone tell me how I can make my pictures bigger on my posts? I downloaded them as "large," but they're still not very big. I'd love to know know what the trick is to that, although they may be smaller because I have a 3-column blog.

Pretty tag! Yes, your pics are smaller cuz of the 3 column...but you can change the size manually of each picture. I have done it occasionally, but I don't know if you can reset it permanently. Maybe someone will know that answer.

This is so pretty, Cindy! I love the idea of wrapping it around to the other side, too.

Cindy,
I really like the tag. I do have a thing for butterflies. I love the idea of wrapping the theme from the front to the back.

Once again that is lovely. Can you enlarge your pictures in your photo program when you import them. Kind of a reverse crop.

So pretty, Cindy~ I love the way the butterfly wraps around... When I am writing a new post, I upload and add the pictures to the post~ they go on in a medium size, but I can click right on the photo and choose a larger size. There is an extra large, but having a 2 column blog, that size is too big for mine, but might work for you!

Hi Cindy, this is so fabulous. I love the butterflies that fold around to the back of the tag. So beautiful. I wish I could help you with the size thing. I still can't figure out how to get mine to lie side by side. I think both of these problems have to do with the size limit allowed by blogger. I've noticed that there is a vertical limit so I guess maybe there is also a horizontal one.

This is a lovely tag, Cindy!!! Love the butterflies!
When you upload a photo and it appears in your "new post" box, just click on the picture and a small long light blue window opens up where you can choose the size of your photo. Because of the 3 columns you might be a little limited here. I have a 2-column blog and can work with the x-large or even original size which can be bigger than the xl. You can also try to make your sidebars narrower - you can do that in the template design.
