Weekend "Victorian Tag" Tutorial-- (Or Move Over, Martha Stewart!)

Oh gosh, I wonder if Martha is jet-setting this weekend or if she does crafts and cleans the house like the rest of us! With the weekend upon us, I thought you might enjoy a tutorial to make some tags if you have some quiet, creative time.

So, I will give you a step-by-step look at how these 2 tags were completed.

First, I printed out a fabulous sheet from Dezinaworld--and yes, I had plenty of images left over to make more tags JUST from one sheet!

I took 2 tags...

Then, I cut and added the pictures with glue dots.

Next, I stamped the sides of the tags for an antiqued appearance.

Then, I used Staz-On ink to stamp seam binding...

I tied the seam binding onto the tags and added lace, coffee-stained cheesecloth and embellishments...

On this one, I made a "double tag" with burlap and tied the 2 together....

After I took pictures of the tags, I used them in my header above....If you are in need of headers or blog buttons, just email me at: Cindylou_20@hotmail.com

I hope you have fun making tags! And I hope you have an awesome weekend. If you would like to make a Victorian Christmas journal or book, I have 2 styles--just scroll down.

To give you an update on my husband...He is coming along and can eat on his own--so progress! Thank you for your prayers...They mean the world to me.

This weekend, I will be editing my book and working on blog headers, so if you don't hear from me, just know that I am in the "Work Zone!"

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO ENTER MY GIVEAWAY, JUST SCOOT DOWN A FEW POSTS TO ENTER!

Love,
Cindy

Love it, Cindy. You are not only talented but very creative. This is beautiful.
If you are online, would you do me a very quick favor? Would you click on my page and let me know if the scroll on my header at the very top is the same tone as the beadboard background and the font for the date? Just comment the colors you see. Just want to check from a second monitor.
Thank you, chica.

LOL! Cindy, I heard Martha say she hardly ever had time for her crafting anymore. That's sad. I can't imagine having to be a world traveler and so busy creating products that I had no time left for the fun part of it.
I like the "postage stamp" border!
XO Diane

Hi Cindy,
I am so happy that Ralph is feeling better and eating on his own.
Your tags are just beautiful and I love the idea of stamping the seam binding. I think I will have to go get some Staz On and try that out.
I have been mia for awhile, I am in San Antonio right now attending the Canton flea market for the first time. It's wonderful and so much fun. I am also with a very close friend, so it's just that much better.
Have a great week and am off to see more of what you are up too.
