A Special Birthday, Christmas Day Giveaway and Window Shopping!

Saturday is my daughter Jenny’s birthday!! Since she lives far away, I made her a cake from artificial roses and carnations so she could save it and always have a pretty cake on her birthday! I put it in a box with party favors to make a “Party in a Box!”

The recipe calls for:

Styrofoam block

Artificial flowers

Pink ribbons

Lots of love

Perfect for birthday wishes at a distance.

And since I am an artist and not a cook, it was
the best recipe I could create!

I am linking this up to Pink Saturday! Thank you
to Beverly for letting me join you and thanks to
all who are visiting! The Christmas "recipe" for
this calls for red and white flowers and ribbons.

I am having a Christmas Day Giveaway for this handcrafted “Vintage Roses” cottage style garland! Created on commercial paper, all of the images on it are from Shabby Cottage Studio. If you would like to make one, the images are for sale here.

It includes handmade flowers I created and has lots of shabby goodness. I used one Shabby Cottage Studio sheet that has roses--I made this whole garland using only one designer sheet for decorations!!! Try to head over there...Gail's images

are amazing!

But, how do you enter the drawing? I will have a blog post about it for the 5 days before Christmas and just add your name to that blog post to be in the drawing. I will announce the winner on Christmas! What a fun way to get your house ready for the new year, don’t you think?
I forgot to tell you...it's very large. The ribbon is 5'7" long!

I will send it to the winner in an envelope and all I ask is that if you are the winner that you get clothespins to attach each piece where you want it. Easy, peasy! Ribbon and tulle fabric will be sent with it for embellishments just as pictured here.

Now, onto the window shopping! Here are some new Tussie Mussies that I made. There is a great deal of detail, lace, cheese cloth, and hours in each one. They are now in my Etsy shop, so if you need one (did I say “need?” lol) you’re welcome to go take a look!

(The images of the angels is from dear June
at Dezinaworld!) She has amazing images
so you may want to head over there too!

holidays, please scroll down!

I am linking this up to Show and Tell Friday!

Happy Holidays!!!

Stunning creations both the banner and your Tussie Mussies! I absolutely adore your style. And it makes me giggle every time I read Tussie Mussies on your blog - sorry - but in German 'Tussi' is a slang word for a girl a bit like bird or chick in English (lol) and they are very feminine so it fits perfectly!

Hiya Cindy, well you have been a busy girl and all such wonderful creations. I am really loving this vintage style of crafting. As soon as I get some time am going to try this. You are an inspiration my friend. Annette x

I am so glad you found the shoe tutorial as well, it is a great deal of fun.
I do have an "E-mail Me" button on my side bar, sometimes it is hard to see amongst all the other things there. But for future look on the right hand bar.

Happy Birthday to your daughter! She's beautiful! The cake is lovely, and a great keepsake!

I love the holiday banner...banners are so festive and this one is exquisite!

Thanks for visiting my blog... you are lucky to have moved from Calif to another warm place! I've never been to New Orleans, but it's always been a place I've wanted to see. I'm not originally from Calif, but lived there for 16 years, half the time in Orange County and half in San Diego. It does seem like home sometimes, since most of my family is there! I miss the perfect weather too!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Thank you for your sweet comment on my mantel disaster. Sometimes the blogs do show only perfect, beautifully decorated homes and perfect lifestyles. From the response to my post I see people still like you even if you are far from perfect.
Happy Holidays,
