All of your Alice creations are stunning Cindy! Your work is always such a delight to look at!! As far as I can remember from old story books I thought the song was about a walk with all kinds of critters? Hugs, Ira

Dear Cindy

Now was the the Mock Turtle's song all about soup?
Am I correct or have I got the stories muddled in my head?

Oh Cindy Sweetie...
How delightful this is today. I love starting the morning off with a little fun. The Mock Turtle sang: Will you, won’t you, will you, won’t you, will you join the dance? He was singing about the Lobster Quadrille dance I believe.

You have done such a beautiful job with these cards sweet girl. I love the key holes. SO beautiful and magical at the same time. Your talents just amaze me totally.

Thank you for this wonderful week of treasures so far. I have so enjoyed myself. I hope you have a magical Wednesday. Hope to talk to you soon.

Many hugs sweetie and SO much love, Sherry

The Mock Turtle's Song

"Will you walk a little faster?" said a whiting to a snail,
"There's a porpoise close behind us, and he's treading on my tail.
See how eagerly the lobsters and the turtles all advance!
They are waiting on the shingle - will you come and join the dance?
Will you, won't you, will you, won't you, will you join the dance?
Will you, won't you, will you, won't you, won't you join the dance?

"You can really have no notion how delightful it will be
When they take us up and throw us, with the lobsters, out to sea!"
But the snail replied, "Too far, too far!" and gave a look askance -
Said he thanked the whiting kindly, but he would not join the dance.
Would not, could not, would not, could not, would not join the dance.
Would not, could not, would not, could not, could not join the dance.

"What matters it how far we go?" his scaly friend replied,
"There is another shore, you know, upon the other side.
The further off from England the nearer is to France -
Then turn not pale, beloved snail, but come and join the dance.
Will you, won't you, will you, won't you, will you join the dance?
Will you, won't you, will you, won't you, won't you join the dance?

Hi Cindy, Really cute pockets and special things in the pockets too. I think he was singing a song to the snail trying to get him to come out of his comfort zone and explore other shores. I hope you dance... Hugs, Linda

I only remember the song that is playing. It was on a Disney albumn that my sister and I had growing up. Again, I love everything you've done! So interesting, so many details to devour. You are awesome!

Hmmm...what did the mock turtle sing about? I have no idea...but I will say I think he sang about having a very cold neck. Therefore, he headed off to his sewing room beneath the sea and crafted himself a lovely mock turtleneck sweater so he could stay warm and toasty through the rest of the story.

Thanks for a great giveaway!
