Vintage Book Bundles

Hi Everyone~

I love books, especially those tied into book bundles for display--I think they're dreamy. For these I have attached hand-stamped muslin with French writing and created 2 tags...The female graphic is from Dezinaworld--I adore this image!

Today, my husband and I combed antique malls where we found these books and this vintage camera--I just had to put the camera in the photo!

(Just Sold)

This book bundle is part of my 2 Market 2 Market section of my Etsy store where everything is $10 and under--I hope you'll take a look to snag some bargains!

I would like to dedicate this post in celebration of my friend's upcoming birthday this week. Lynne is an amazing artist and friend. Please join me in extending warm birthday wishes to her. Her blog is at: Adorn I am sure that many of you know Lynne too as she is just wonderful and so inspiring. I remember when I got an email from her once and how she talked about loving to read, so I thought books and the pure dreaminess of vintage images would put a smile on her face as she always creates such delicate treasures with beautiful graphics. Happy Birthday, Lynne!

AND I hope you're ALL having a great weekend!!!

For those of you who love Pink Saturday (and don't we all love it?) I thought you might enjoy a little "excursion to the beach" with these newest creations of mine from my Grand Opening.

These little peat pots can be placed on a table or shelf for added ambiance and a touch of "Coastal Chic."

There is one more thing I would like to add....After creating this post, there was something important that I discovered. I had made these pieces and then found out that a very special man named Ted passed away recently and he was the person who had this picture of the Eiffel Tower that came from a vintage postcard. Ted, you will be missed.

2 Market 2 Market to Get a French Deal!

Hi Everyone~

I have some exciting news--I have a brand-new section in my Etsy store! Here are just a few examples of the items I have listed in my French flea market-style section. The shelves will be brimming with vintage finds, repurposed items, and brand-new deals all for $10 and under! Here's a "sneak peek" at some of the items~

Paris Tin

I was lucky to get my hands on some antique bottles~My research indicates that they are at least 100 years old! I decided to decorate them and make them available for the opening of this new section.

This large repurposed cross is positively dreamy and can add that touch vintage and "Paris Chic" to your home...It can be hung or placed next to a book bundle for added ambiance.

This book bundle is full of shabby goodness for your home decorating!

Here is my "French Frosting" decorating kit--filled with items you can use to create art or incorporate into your own home decorating.

Here is one more of my antique bottles and as you can see, it has been embellished with the dreamiest of materials (lace, faux pearls, mulberry paper flowers, curly seam binding, and burlap.)

I hope you have fun taking a look into my new 2 Market 2 Market section~And come back often because I will be adding more items!!

Humbled and Speechless

Hi Everyone~

My husband just came in the house with our mail--and guess what awaited me--these 2 stunning pieces by 2 of my wonderful blogger friends!

The first is a gorgeous piece of mixed media art by Michele at Art from the Well. (Little did Michele know that these colors match my house!) Don't you just adore that chic crown made of fabric?

And next I opened this package from Debra and Nicole at Maison St. Germain...I about flipped! It is one of their vintage-style lace purses. In fact, Debra and Nicole host Blogger's Bodega every Tuesday--it is a fabulous blog event. And right now, they have a giveaway for one of their gorgeous purses, so hop over and enter and say "hello" from me!!!

All I can say is "Thank you so much." I am indeed grateful for such SPECIAL treasures from such BEAUTIFUL friends.

Vintage Beauty

Hi Everyone~

Nothing says "vintage" like this magnificent 2" round aurora borealis brooch (it's truly vintage--It's not my creation.)

In case you don't know the history of this "rainbow" stone, the Swarovski Company worked very closely with Christian Dior in the 1950s to create a stone that would have this magical affect.

For those who have a love of everything vintage, this stone has resurged as a popular "must-have" item! They have been popping up on scarves, jackets--and even purses all over the country.

But, they are also popular to use as tiebacks for a curtain panel--pretty dreamy, huh?

If you are from the U.S. and would be interested in making a bid or purchasing this piece, you can find it listed here. I only have one! It's only available through Friday of this week.

"Nature's Promise"--New on Etsy

Hi Everyone~

For the past week, I have been creating this latest piece for my Etsy shop--a mixed media bird's nest entitled "Nature's Promise." To see close up, please click on the image.

It was created with cheese cloth, raw soy silk, fibers, and moss.

I adore anything with a "nesting" theme, so this piece is close to my heart.

And finally, here is a decorator tag with a flower seed graphic from Dezinaworld~Once again, I am reminded of nature's promise of birth and the wonder of life.
